safety tips seniors

Set Passwords - make them long (phrases or sentences) that mix uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Change them regularly.
Watch out for scams - the bank will never email and ask that you click a link to update your password or to confirm your information. Do not reply.
Don’t click the link - Be cautious about downloading attachments and about clicking links in emails — even if you know the sender. They could contain a virus.
Use social media more safely - Use the privacy settings online. Don’t post sensitive information that may indicate to burglars when you’re not home.
Defend your computer - Keep all software current with automatic updating. Install legitimate antivirus and antispyware software. Use flash drives cautiously.
Contact the Police– use the reporting link on the www.Cybertips.bm to anonymously alert the police of any suspected scam targeting you or someone you know.
